It is definitely trade show season. We met a lot of great people in Brandon last weekend at the Home & Leisure Show and now we’re packing up and heading to Yorkton. The Yorkton Spring Expo takes place from April 13-15. It’s a fantastic show, we’re really looking forward to it.
Hope to see you there!

Wow, spring really came early this year, but of course most of us don’t mind! The photo on the front page is a shot of the golf course at Rossman Lake near the end of March. Of course I think it’s snowed (and melted) at least two times since then, so the greens and fairways should be really nice this year.
A few things to note…
We’re going to be at the Brandon Home & Leisure Show this weekend. Come chat with us about building on Sunset Point this year.

Snowy owls seem to have such a look of prestige. We have seen this same one a few times along the stretch of highway north of Oakburn.
According to a newsletter from the Oak Hammock March Interpretive Centre there are 11 species of owls in Manitoba. The heaviest of those being the snowy owl.
Contrary to popular belief, only a few owl species are strictly nocturnal – meaning they primarily feed during the twilight hours of dusk and dawn. Several species, like the snowy owl, are diurnal meaning they hunt during the day. I’m guessing that’s why we’ve been lucky enough to spot this one several times!
