It’s too beautiful…get out and enjoy!

October 12th, 2017

Here we are just three weeks into fall 2017 and the season couldn’t possibly be more beautiful. Since we didn’t have a major, major frost the leaves really hung on this year, although more and more are now falling to the ground. The scenery in and around Rossman Lake and Rossburn was (and still is) absolutely breathtaking. The colours were stunning and vibrant. For some photos in and around the area, check out our Facebook page.

While it’s tempting to start gearing up to hibernate for the winter, don’t. It’s too early and there’s still lots to enjoy in the great outdoors. It’s a great time to explore old bush trails, go for a quad ride, go horseback riding, look for seasonal mushrooms or just tour the countryside for wildlife. The temperatures are still decent, get out and enjoy as much fresh air as you can, while you can!

As you drive around the lake, the seasonal campground (on the south and east side of the lake) feels a bit like a ghost town, and while home and cottage owners at Sunset Point have pulled in the docks and stored all their water-crafts and summer toys, the development is accessible year round so you still see a lot of our residents taking full advantage of this fabulous season and all the others!

It was a busy summer at Sunset Point with two new RTM homes/cottages being brought in, another built on location earlier this spring and two garages that went up. That brings the total number of homes/cottages to 21 with 19 on the lakefront side.

The community is growing and changing every year with a fabulous mix of residents. It’s awesome to see the variety and styles of homes and the creativeness in landscaping.
